SENIORCONNECT
What is this program about?
The SeniorConnect Program helps seniors who might be at risk to connect to community support services that help them to live safely and independently in their homes.
How does it work?
SeniorConnect is a three part program:
Education -- We offer a free half hour education session for caring citizens like you. In this session, you learn how to recognize the signs and symptoms that might indicate a senior is at risk.
24-Hour Seniors’ Help Line 403-264-7700 – There is always someone available through our 24 Hour Seniors’ Help Line to take calls from concerned citizens who have identified seniors they believe are at risk or could use a helping hand. This line is operated by our partner organization, the Calgary Distress Centre. These calls are referred to our SeniorConnect Social Worker.
Access to Support – Our SeniorConnect Social Worker gets in touch with seniors who have been identified through the Help Line and connects them to the community support services they need.
How can you help?
Sign yourself and/or your group, office or organization up for the SeniorConnect education session. It takes only half an hour and it’s free! Join the 7000 trained Connectors and help support the seniors in your community.
