FRANK'S
STORY

Imagine if you were a bank teller, and one of your “regulars” was a slightly disheveled, thin, foot shuffling elderly gentleman, who sometimes seemed confused.

THERESA'S

Theresa was 86 years old and living by herself. Her husband had died 25 years previous and her children and grandchildren had all moved away from Calgary.

WALTER'S
STORY

Walter is in his 70s and lives alone, aside from his beloved pets. He suffers from anxiety issues and life was a daily struggle.

METRO'S
STORY

In 2012, a Calgary Seniors Outreach Worker received a call from the distressed relative of an 85 year old man, named Metro, who was no longer able to carry out day to day activities in his home.

In Memoriam

Mildred Williams 2.jpg

Mildred Williams

Mildred was a part of the Calgary Seniors family for over 20 years.

She was the heart and soul of our Escorted Transportation program, always empathetic and caring with the clients.  She worked her magic with the volunteer drivers, many of whom could never say “no” to Mildred when she asked them to pick up a last-minute ride.
