COMMUNITY EDUCATION

Ongoing education is key to the prevention of many health and social related factors.

SENIORCONNECT TRAINING

Learn how to identify a senior who may be at-risk or in crisis and know where to get help.  This training is for the general public: individuals and groups; businesses, organizations and professionals.  Topics include: hoarding, mental illness, addictions, caregiver stress, elder abuse and more.

To access free training online go to: www.seniorconnectcalgary.org or call our office at 403-266-6200 to arrange a presentation.

CAREGIVERCONNECT

www.caregiverconnectyyc.com is designed to provide information, support and resources to those who are caregiving and employers of caregivers.

Calgary Seniors is committed to providing effective services to those vulnerable seniors in our city to ensure they can remain safe and independent in their homes.

TAKE CARE, BE AWARE!

The focus of Take Care, Be Aware! is to educate seniors about the realities of fraud and financial abuse, and the steps they can take to protect themselves. Using a "seniors helping seniors" model, volunteers present information on current frauds, red flags to watch for, tips for prevention and host an interactive conversation with the group.

To arrange a presentation contact: takecare@calgaryseniors.org or call our office at 403-266-6200.
